How the Four Clubs Qualified for the 2027 Super Cup

The Spanish Super Cup is contested by four clubs drawn from the top of the previous Spanish season, and the 2027 edition — played in Istanbul from 2 to 6 February — brings together Barcelona, Real Madrid, Real Sociedad and Atlético Madrid. All four earned their places through the 2025–26 La Liga and Copa del Rey.

How each qualified:

  • Barcelona — 2025–26 La Liga champions.
  • Real Madrid — 2025–26 La Liga runners-up.
  • Real Sociedad — 2025–26 Copa del Rey winners.
  • Atlético Madrid — 2025–26 Copa del Rey runners-up.

The qualification routes also set the semi-finals: the league champion meets the cup runner-up, and the cup winner meets the league runner-up. That puts Barcelona against Atlético Madrid on 2 February and Real Sociedad against Real Madrid on 3 February, with the two winners meeting for the trophy. All four are chasing the same prize, decided at the final on 6 February at Rams Park — Spanish Super Cup final tickets are on sale now, and the individual semi-finals and full schedule are on the tournament pages.
